D*Face is an English multimedia street artist whose humorous and nihilistic artworks have made him one of the most prolific contemporary urban artists of his generation. Using spray paint, stickers, posters and stencils, D*Face creates a family of dysfunctional characters to satirise and hold to ransom all that falls into their grasp.

Through his street art, paintings, posters and limited edition prints, D*Face’s aim is to encourage the public not just to ‘see’, but to look at what surrounds them and their lives. Recent examples of his subversive artworks include his collaboration with H.R.H Queen Elizabeth II, in which a series of altered bank notes were put into circulation for an unsuspecting public to find in their change. Then, to commemorate the instatement of Pope Benedict XVI, the Vatican commissioned D*Face to paint a portrait. The artwork was first shown in May 2005 at the Outside Institute and on MTV Rome where it received critical acclaim.

He has also published DFACE – True Stories About The Flying Dog with Taschen; which holds some of his most famous work and contains the inspiration and meaning behind his works.
