Mr. Kuu is a fine art photographer who uses macro photography coupled with modified miniature people to present a new take on the world around us (see A and BEE, Match of the Day and Chalk and Cheese). His locations can be either painstakingly scouted or stumbled upon accidentally; his imaginings can be deliberated over night or inspired in a second; but his photography is always beautiful, always considered, and always truthful.
Mr. Kuu fiercely avoids image manipulation as he aspires to present life as you’ve rarely seen it; as a microcosm. In the three years since revealing his photographic observations to the world Mr. Kuu has exhibited in galleries worldwide.
“I suppose I look for the ordinary, and focus in on it in such detail, give it so much attention, that it’s importance is magnified and it starts to become extraordinary. The world around us offers a rich tapestry from which to draw, you don’t have to go too far from your front door to find beauty in a small detail. I want people to enjoy these creations, to enjoy life! My creations are fun, they represent just a snapshot or a moment, that’s worth taking the time over.”
