Online introducer site for art collectors, MyArtBroker, up for Best Art Business website for the second time in its five year history
The Fine Art Trade Guild, the body setting standards for the fine art print trade, this week named MyArtBroker as one of its nominees in the category Best Art Business Website as part of the 2015 Art and Framing Industry Awards.
The Awards, taking place in May 2015, will recognise the best of the best in the industry with award categories including Art Retailer of the Year, Innovation Award and Best Selling Published Artist.
Dealing in the likes of Banksy and Damien Hirst, MyArtBroker is an introducer service, which links people looking to buy art with those collectors looking to sell. The site is receiving its second nomination in the five years since brothers, Ian and Joey Syer launched the business in 2010.
After winning the category in 2011, MyArtBroker have since invested heavily in the redevelopment of their platform following huge successes and boost in traffic. Despite the tough economic climate, MyArtBroker have seen the appetite for buy and selling art on the secondary market boom, as collectors look to release the equity tied up in their portfolio of art and new, wealthy buyers are happy to move their purchases online to get the best deals.
“We’re very pleased to have been recognised by the Guild for the second time,” comment Ian Syer, co-founder “we’ve made some significant improvements to the platform to make it even simpler for buyers and sellers to connect and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the awards occasion in May!”
