Prints & Editions Specialist

Sales
London / US
full-time

MyArtBroker is seeking an experienced Consignment Specialist to join the Specialist Sales Team.

Prints Consignment Specialist: London - Hybrid (Full time)
Prints Consignment Lead: Los Angeles - Remote (Full time)

MyArtBroker expanding the team in London & the US and looking to fill two roles within the department before the end of the year.

The role suits someone with experience in auctions, private sales, galleries, art advisory or brokerage, and a track record of bringing in consignments. We are looking for someone who knows the editions market and the works well, have excellent communication skills and enjoys working at pace.

You will work directly with owners and sellers of works by some of the most sought-after names in prints and editions. You will advise them on value, timing and the best way to sell, then secure the consignment and work with our sales team as the work is placed.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial instincts with excellent client service and a deep understanding of the subject matter and art market.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify, approach and build relationships with collectors, estates, advisors, dealers and other owners of works in our core markets.
  2. Source and secure high-quality consignments across our priority artist markets.
  3. Turn inbound selling enquiries and valuations into signed consignments.
  4. Prepare valuations grounded in auction comparables, private sales data and current buyer demand.
  5. Advise sellers on pricing, timing and the most suitable route to market, whether private sale, Live Market or auction.
  6. Set out the advantages of selling privately with MyArtBroker: certainty on net proceeds, discretion, no public unsold record and access to active buyers.
  7. Work closely with the sales team to understand live buyer demand and prioritise the works we can place.
  8. Re-engage past sellers and existing collectors to build a reliable source of repeat consignments.
  9. Use market intelligence, sales data and portfolio insight to identify owners likely to sell before they come to market.
  10. Maintain an accurate consignment pipeline and CRM records, and track why consignments are won and lost.

Candidate Qualifications

  1. At least 5 years’ experience in the art market, ideally in auctions, private sales, galleries, advisory or brokerage.
  2. A track record of winning consignments, whether in business development, valuations, private sales or a combination of these.
  3. Strong knowledge of the Modern & Contemporary prints and editions market, including editions, condition and provenance.
  4. Confidence in valuing works and defending a price with evidence.
  5. Experience managing high-value consignments and sophisticated collector relationships.
  6. An existing network of collectors, advisors, dealers or industry contacts.
  7. The persistence to build relationships with owners over months and years, not just single transactions.
  8. Commercially minded, with strong negotiation skills.
  9. Highly organised and able to manage a large, active pipeline.
  10. Comfortable using data, technology and market insight to drive performance and improve outcomes for sellers.

MyArtBroker combines specialist expertise, market-leading data and proprietary technology to make the art market more transparent and efficient.

You will join a fast-growing business with an international collector base, a highly collaborative culture, and the opportunity to play a significant role in shaping the future of the prints and editions market.
