Details: Tracing two key personas in Kusama’s practice - the resolute “fighting woman” and the “innocent girl” - Fighting Woman / Painting Girl spans early drawings, Aggregation sculptures confronting trauma, and archival records of provocative performances and fashion. Recent paintings pulse with vivid colour alongside playful three-dimensional works of girls and flowers, culminating in a world-premiere small-scale mirrored room.

Details: Serpentine and The Royal Parks present Kusama’s large-scale sculpture, Pumpkin (2024), marking a return to Serpentine for Kusama, which was the location of her first retrospective exhibition in Britain in 2000. Pumpkin is Kusama's tallest bronze pumpkin sculpture to date, at 6 metres tall and 5.5 metres in diameter.
