No Reply 8 is a signed screen print in colours on wove paper that was made by renowned American artist and designer, KAWS in 2015. The print depicts a cartoon figure, which looks like an insect with bulging eyes. KAWS adds his signature crosses to the insect’s eyes, a staple feature of his visual language. The print is rendered in greens and blues, which capture KAWS’ love of colour and reflect how the artist often experiments with bold and vibrant colours in his graphic style prints.
The print can be seen alongside nine other screen prints which compose the No Reply collection. The collection of prints are all inspired by cartoon imagery and show cropped sections of cartoon characters, which always leave the viewer wanting to see more.
Produced in 2015, the No Reply collection came at a point in KAWS’ artistic career in which he had become a critically acclaimed and internationally recognised artist.
