Terry Frost was a British abstract painter whose artwork was informed by his love of colour, light, and form. His masterful use of colour combined with bold geometric forms is presented as a celebration of life's exuberance. This attitude is perhaps attributed to the experiences he had whilst serving as a soldier and being a prisoner of war in World War II. Committed to the transformative power of colour and shape, Frost experimented with various mediums, from oil and acrylic paint to collage and printmaking. Today, his work continues to be celebrated by collectors and institutions worldwide, with major retrospectives held at the Tate Gallery in London and the Royal Academy.
